About

A lineage,
and the teacher carrying it.

The yoga taught here is not a contemporary adaptation. It is a precise, complete method — selected and structured by Sadhguru, transmitted through the Isha Foundation, and delivered locally by a teacher who completed their residential training at the Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore, India.

Sadhguru.

Sadhguru
Yogi · mystic · founder

Sadhguru is a yogi, mystic, and the founder of the Isha Foundation — an international non-profit dedicated to inner transformation through yogic science.

A contemporary guru rooted as strongly in worldly and practical matters as in inner experience, his work has unfolded over the past thirty years through programs designed to create an inclusive culture and establish global harmony. He has been awarded special consultative status with the United Nations.

Where it concerns the yoga taught at Project Yoga, his contribution is specific: he reconstructed and structured the Classical Hatha Yoga forms taught here — preserving practices that had become fragmented or lost, and offering them to anyone serious enough to learn.

I want you to know the power, the liberation, of another kind of science — the inner science, the yogic science, through which you can become the master of your own destiny.

The Isha Foundation is the organisation through which Sadhguru's work is offered to the world. It runs human-service projects across rural India, environmental stewardship at planetary scale, and — most relevantly here — the teacher training programs that licence anyone permitted to teach this yoga.

A Sadhguru Gurukulam-certified Hatha Yoga teacher has completed a 21-week residential program at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. That residential requirement is non-negotiable: there is no shortened or online version. The practice is body-to-body; the certification is from the source.

Namaskaram. I'm Gino Borrageiro.

I'm a Sadhguru Gurukulam-certified Classical Hatha Yoga teacher. My journey with Isha began in 2016, when I attended my first yoga program. The simplicity, logic, and grace of that program profoundly impacted me — it transformed my understanding of yoga as a complete science addressing body, mind, emotions, and energy.

That inner transformation moved me to complete the 21-week residential Hatha Yoga teacher training at the Isha Foundation in South India. Project Yoga is where I now offer these tools, in their full form, to anyone in Johannesburg willing to begin.

My vision is a more conscious life — in this city, in these bodies, one practice at a time.

Direct lineage

The practices taught here are the same Sadhguru has transmitted globally for thirty years — unchanged in form.
